Karen Beasley Turtle Rescue

The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit sea turtle conservation organization and sea turtle hospital.

Atlantis Studio has identified the facility as a partner donating a percentage of our proceeds from our turtle designs to advance educational and environmental efforts around sea turtle sustainability.

On a recent visit to the facility I was able to meet the Executive Director of the center Kathy Zagzebski.  I was able to learn and observe the incredible efforts put forth at the state of the art facility in Surf City, NC. 

A visit to the Karen Beasley facility has an educational element, one of the most advanced rehabilitation centers where visitors can see a variety of species, releasing rehabilitated turtles back into the ocean as well as real life environmental issues surrounding sea turtles and all ocean ecology.

The gift shop if an impressive collection of turtle themed merchandise that is a major component to the operational budget of the center.
